You’ll find a collection of past essays, short stories, and poems that explore various themes and ideas. It’s a straightforward way to catch up and understand the direction of this space.
I recognize my writer’s voice is very different, my style and my writing choices are not at all like contemporary authors. I pride myself on pursuing my art in my way, and I pride myself on being true to my writer’s voice, despite the pressure to be like everyone else.
Take your time with these posts. There’s no rush. If you find something that resonates, I’m glad. If not, that’s fine too. I’m just glad you’re here.

Ari Aster’s “Hereditary” did something with its writing that was so brilliant and powerful, and it was so subtle; so perfectly, minutely, subtle, and this is not related to the horrific scene near the film’s middle. I’m saying the bones of the film itself.

That Night
From the kitchen comes such laughter, such a roaring gluttonous wet laugh. Smaller ones join. They are lite and airy, and before long someone else is trying to talk over the laughter, trying to lay a dim, ordinary story over it.
